The Firm POLLINI LORENZO e FIGLI s.r.l., being aware of the environmental issues connected to waste disposal activities, and in particular of those linked to end-of-life vehicles, as well as sensitive to the importance of the development and promotion of materials recovery and recycling - has decided to introduce an Environmental Management System. This makes it possible to organize, plan, review and maintain an environmental programme aimed at continually improving company performance, while at the same time making its employees responsible to this end.
The Firm POLLINI LORENZO e FIGLI s.r.l. undertakes to operate in compliance with all laws and regulations in force regarding the environment and workplace safety and to pursue the continuous improvement of its performance, aimed at reducing the impact of its environmental aspects as well as at pollution prevention.
The Firm POLLINI LORENZO e FIGLI s.r.l., having decided to pursue an Environmental Policy based on continuous improvement:
- disseminates the Environmental Policy among its own personnel and to all personnel working on behalf of the organization and makes it available to the public, in pursuit of open dialogue with them;
- periodically verifies its environmental aspects and assesses, a priori, the environmental impacts deriving from new activities, processes or modifications to plants;
- aims to prevent potential, significant environmental impact;
- modernize its plants using the best economically applicable technologies available;
- encourages employee responsibility towards environmental protection with specific training and information programmes;
- informs external companies carrying out on-site activities of specific procedures to be implemented during their period of stay;
- encourages, where possible, Supplier responsibility towards environmental protection by requiring the use of environmentally-friendly products and by requiring that the services performed take place in full compliance with environmental legislation;
- ensures its collaboration and cooperation with all public or private bodies engaged in environmental protection and emergency prevention activities, providing a contribution in keeping with its role within the community.
- It collaborates with manufacturers by placing its knowledge and data at their disposal, in order to be able to design ever more environmentally-friendly machines
These same principles form the basis of the improvement objectives and the environmental programmes that the Firm POLLINI LORENZO e FIGLI s.r.l. establishes, maintains and periodically reviews, to pursue the constant improvement of its environmental performances.
