Dealerships

For the SCRAPPING and VEHICLE REGISTRATION CANCELLATION of a NUMBER-PLATED VEHICLE the following documents are required:

• ORIGINAL LOG BOOK (SEE OLD VERSION)

  • If absent (original loss report required while if damaged, the damage report is required. If the log book has been withdrawn by the Public Authority following confiscation, seizure or missing vehicle inspection report, the original withdrawal report is required)

• CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP or ORIGINAL TITLE [FOGLIO COMPLEMENTARE] are the deeds certifying vehicle ownership; some vehicles have the first document, other vehicles the second.
  • If absent (original loss report loss report required)
• The vehicle with the FRONT AND REAR NUMBER PLATES attached
• If missing even a single number plate (original loss report specifying which plate is missing required)
• Copy of CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION issued by the dealership which must be delivered to the PRA for vehicle registration cancellation

The charges provided for by law for the consignment of number plates to the PRA are:

• EUR 45.50 with the certificate of ownership
• EUR 61.50 with the title [foglio complementare].

For the SCRAPPING of a VEHICLE WITH ALREADY-CANCELLED REGISTRATION the following documents are required:

• PHOTOCOPY OF VEHICLE REGISTRATION CANCELLATION TO THE PRA
• Copy of CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION to be delivered to the PRA for the vehicle registration cancellation

Using a user ID and a password giving you access to our private area, we provide an online SERVICE with which you can:

• fill in and print the CERTIFICATES OF DESTRUCTION
• print out the REGISTER of vehicles decommissioned from circulation as required by law
• REQUEST VEHICLE COLLECTION: when you fill in the certificate, the communication comes straight to us that the vehicle is present in your dealership and ready to be collected. This way you do not even have to call us; we contact you to inform you of the collection date and time.
